AshiatsuBody Logic

Body Logic is rooted in a simple truth: wherever the body holds pain or tension, it is often holding itself too tightly—pressed, compressed, or narrowed until movement becomes effort and comfort becomes distant.

This work invites the body to remember its own spaciousness. Through a collaborative, hands-on process, Body Logic follows each muscle back to its beginning and encourages it to lengthen toward its natural destination. In creating space where restriction once lived, the body slowly relearns how to soften, open, and move with more ease.

As these spaces unwind, something shifts—not only in the muscles and joints, but in the mind that carries them. A sense of clarity emerges. Breath deepens. The whole system reorganizes itself toward balance.

For those seeking relief from persistent pain or simply longing to feel more at home in their own body, Body Logic offers a gentle re-education—an invitation for the body and mind to reconnect, recalibrate, and return to a more harmonious way of being.

Professional draping is always maintained for comfort and safety.

Descriptions

Massage is more than simple touch; it is a targeted approach to support muscles, tendons, and ligaments that can be especially vulnerable to stress, overuse, or injury. Brie addresses common issues such as rotator cuff injuries, low back pain or sciatica, iliotibial band and hip discomfort, plantar fasciitis, and other conditions that may arise from repetitive motion, trauma, or daily stress.

Massage can also support the body’s natural production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter linked to improved mood and overall well-being. Each session is tailored following a brief assessment to determine the combination of techniques that will be most effective for your needs. Hot stones and essential oils are included at no additional charge in every session to enhance both therapeutic benefit and overall comfort.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage works to realign deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue, making it especially effective for chronically tight or contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tension, and sore shoulders. In addition to easing muscle tension, it can help reduce stress and support healthy blood pressure. Over time, deep-tissue massage may also break down and diminish scar tissue, improving overall mobility and comfort.

This therapy targets five key contributors to pain:

  • Ischemia: Reduced blood flow to soft tissues, which can create hypersensitivity and discomfort.

  • Trigger Points: Irritated areas within muscles that refer pain to other parts of the body.

  • Nerve Compression or Entrapment: Pressure on nerves caused by soft tissue, cartilage, or bone.

  • Postural Distortion: Muscular imbalances resulting from shifts in the body’s alignment, such as scoliosis or leg length differences.

  • Biomechanical Dysfunction: Imbalances in the musculoskeletal system that lead to faulty movement patterns and strain.

By addressing these underlying factors, therapeutic massage provides lasting relief, improved movement, and enhanced overall well-being.

Orthopedic Massage

Each session begins with a thorough assessment of the injury or concern. Brie evaluates range of motion, flexibility, and tissue rotation to identify the muscle groups and tendons involved, determining the most effective techniques for treatment.

Orthopedic massage can help address conditions such as:

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Frozen shoulder (rotator cuff strain or partial tear)

  • Tennis elbow

  • Tendinitis

  • Sciatica (including piriformis syndrome)

  • Bulging or herniated discs

A variety of targeted soft-tissue techniques are then applied to release tension, restore mobility, and reduce pain. Techniques may include:

  • Active Engagement: Compressing muscles and stroking lengthwise in a perpendicular motion to access deep, hard-to-reach areas. Particularly effective for whiplash or lumbar pain.

  • Nerve Mobilization (Neurodynamics): Identifying and releasing strain along nerves to address sources of pain.

  • Trigger Point Therapy: Applying intervals of pressure to specific points to release lactic acid buildup and improve circulation.

  • Myofascial Release: Stretching or cupping techniques designed to release fascial tension and improve tissue flexibility.

This comprehensive approach targets the root causes of musculoskeletal discomfort, helping restore function, relieve pain, and support long-term recovery.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation massage is designed to reduce stress, promote calm, and support overall well-being. Using gentle, flowing strokes, kneading, and light pressure, this type of massage helps release muscle tension, improve circulation, and soothe the nervous system. The result is a sense of deep mental and physical relaxation, making it an effective way to unwind and counteract the effects of daily stress.

Sports Massage

Sports massage targets muscles specific to an athlete’s training or event. For athletes who train consistently, the goal is to enhance endurance, reduce the risk of injury, and speed recovery after activity. Techniques may include deep tissue work, neuromuscular therapy, and trigger point release. Research shows that following intense exercise, levels of L-glutamine (an amino acid produced by the body) and immune function can temporarily decline. Sports massage supports the body by promoting faster recovery, helping maintain overall health, and allowing athletes to train more effectively. Beyond the physical benefits, it also contributes to emotional well-being, helping athletes stay balanced and resilient under the demands of training and competition.

Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage

Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage provides deep, effective pressure that exceeds what hands and forearms can typically deliver. Using the practitioner’s feet and body weight, pressure is applied along the neck and entire back, allowing for thorough release of tension in large muscle groups. Clients often experience significant reductions in pain, improved range of motion, and enhanced athletic performance. Athletes recovering from sports or repetitive strain injuries frequently notice increased flexibility—even beyond their pre-injury levels—after sessions.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy promotes deep relaxation, healing, and a grounded sense of well-being. Smooth basalt stones are heated and applied with oil using long, flowing strokes that connect the body and mind. Stones of varying sizes are used strategically: larger stones work major muscle groups, while smaller stones target the face, hands, and feet. The combination of heat and massage increases circulation and blood flow, supporting recovery in sore or injured muscles and helping the body process toxins and metabolic waste. The result is a deeply restorative experience that leaves both body and mind feeling revitalized.

Foot Reflexology
Foot Reflexology promotes healing throughout the body by stimulating specific points on the feet that correspond to organs and systems. Based on a system of reflex zones, this practice creates a physical response that can support overall wellness, improve circulation, and relieve tension in targeted areas.

Cupping Therapy
Cupping softens tight muscles and improves tissue tone by creating gentle suction and vacuum pressure. This increases blood and lymphatic circulation both locally and systemically, helping relax muscle tissue, release stagnation, and reduce pain. Using medical-grade silicone cups, massage cupping lifts connective tissue, enhances hydration and blood flow, draws deep inflammation to the surface for release, and supports lymphatic drainage. The technique is relatively comfortable and typically avoids the bruising often associated with traditional cupping.

Chakra Balancing
Chakra Balancing supports physical, mental, and emotional well-being by restoring harmony to the body’s energy centers. The seven major chakras act like power stations, influencing different areas of the body and mind. When fully balanced, they promote optimal health and vitality. During the session, the practitioner guides the chakras to open and spin in alignment, fostering a sense of balance, clarity, and energetic flow.

Reiki
Reiki is a form of spiritually guided energy healing. The word “Reiki” combines the Japanese words Rei (Universal Wisdom or Higher Power) and Ki (life force energy). During a session, the practitioner gently places hands on or near the body, allowing universal energy to flow where it is needed most. Reiki naturally identifies blockages, clears them, and replenishes energy wherever it is low. Because the practitioner’s own energy is not used, Reiki is safe for both the giver and recipient and can be applied in any healing context.
